Today I start my summer schedule.  At this writing, I'm still not quite sure what that exactly means.  I have a list of goals I'd like to accomplish.  First and foremost, I have a 60,000 word book I'd like to write before Labor Day.  However, I also want to enjoy the next two months. They are the last two before The Boy disappears to college.  Work will be here in September. The Boy will not.  He's heading to college.  Therefore, I am giving myself permission to relax about work.  No weekend, no late nights, no rushing to make deadlines.  Katy's and Bex's posts about playing resonated with me.  Yes, I need to make money and yes, I want to increase my writing output, but I also need balance.  The proper combination of work and play will make Barb a very happy camper.

How about you all?  What are your summer plans?
