The first step is to get into the habit of planning meals. Next, I need to shop for ingredients, and finally, to make the commitment to cooking at home again. I realize I’m fortunate to be able to work from home most of the time. Sometimes I can’t, though, and on those days, the best I can do is to either bring something healthy with me, or avoid the foods that get me in trouble. (That would be sweets.)
I also “went on vacation” this week from exercising. The kids are home from school due to the holidays, which makes the area ice skating rinks extremely crowded. I’ll start up my skating and stretching sessions again next week while they’re back in classes, and that will help with the healthier eating (I hope).
Meanwhile, I’m off to shop for vegetables. Beets, peppers, squash, broccoli, carrots, lettuce, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes… Do you have any dietary goals this season?
I’ll check in next Friday and let you know how my sweets-detox week went. In the meantime, Happy New Year’s Eve!

Happy sweets detox!
I'm planning to eat healthier and find/learn recipes to aid me in this.
Good luck to you :D
Good luck to you, too, La Reine!
(PS So far, so good! I'm stocked with fruits and vegetables for the week, so that helps.)
